The Shomrim are guardians of our community who comprise the Board. The following is a list of Shomrim according to their portfolios. If you have a question, or want to volunteer, this list may help direct you to the right person. If you are not sure whom to call, please send an e-mail or pick up the phone to any of the community leaders, and the Shomer/et you reach will be happy to help.

Community Outreach Shomer/et helps both members
and non-members stay connected with the community,
working closely with Membership.

Education Shomer/et administers and directs the
Religious School and assists in the development of

Marketing Shomer/et communicates with people about
Makom and invites them to our community, overseeing
advertising, publicity, flyers, brochures, the website,

Membership Shomer/et is involved in all efforts to
welcome, maintain, and grow membership, including
Havdalahs, Guest Shabbat, phone trees, Mitzvah Mavens and meeting member needs. Dana Stone Goldberg, bbdj22@hotmail.com, (818) 989-3410.

Past President Beverly Rimer remains on the board ex
officio and assists with leadership and volunteer development. Beverlyee1@sbcglobal.net

President of Makom oversees all synagogue business
and interests, including the Board and the Shomrim.

Programming Shomer/et oversees all programs (including Havurot and Holidays), secures locations for the
events, and keeps the calendar for the community.

community, and Board, managing lay and clergy

oversees communications and administration among

Strategic Planning Shomer/et guides the Board in
planning, budgeting, goal-setting, supporting a shared

Treasurer does the community’s bookkeeping, money
